A word of Thanks

bloodhand
First of all as chief cat herder of my team I would like to thank all of you for participating in what was undoubtedly the best charity airsoft game ever. Never before have I seen such fair yet hard gameplay including full play throughout the night.

Without the players playing fairly this event would not of been the success it was and you all should be grinning like I was at endex.

I have seen lots of posts thanking me for such an event but it goes without saying that I was just one man in a team and without the help from everyone else the players would not of enjoyed themselves immensely.

I would like to dedicate this Role of Honour to those that don’t want thanks and praise but were  there through the thick and thin to make this event what it was.

This is in no order or preference and I truly apologise if I have missed any one person out.

First off to my core team I would like to thank as follows:tags200x200

To Rachel and Chris from Landmarc. Unbeknownst to many of you Rachel and Chris helped us all out and bent over backwards to ensure that the players had an excellent time.

The Marshals who I think we can all say did an excellent and impartial job.  Headed by and mainly staffed by First and Only Marshals though supported by marshals from ATROOP, NCIS, ALPHA55 and others. I would like to thank personally Jamie for taking the head marshalling job under his belt.

To Thai and Cha for travelling all the way from darkest Scotland to marshal then drive back a big, to Taffy, Tim, Steve L and everyone else my heartfelt thanks

Jamie your team did an outstanding job!!!endex6

Although they will probably not see this I would like to publically thank St Johns Ambulance for attending our event and ensuring that any casualty no matter how small was dealt with in a fast and safe manner.

To the side commanders in particular Ian ( Collins ) , Richard ( Sgt Ramsay ) and to Brett on the government forces side who not only had troops rotated and fighting throughout the night but also managed to take a staggering 47 captives. Ian as you know has given a lot of support to the charity for the last 3 years in letting me have the raffle tickets on sale at his events and deserves my personal and public thanks.

To Rachel (cohen) , Dan (sheriff), Richard (doctor)  Datamonkey, Chris, Sam on the civilian side for some excellent roleplay before during and after the event, hard fair play and playing throughout the night. Not only did they manage to assemble the BIG BOX OF DOOOOM but as a piece de resistance they also guarded the TacNuke inserted by the NSA team☺ Never before have I seen so many team mates actually dress and get into the role including keeping fake accents throughout an entire event

To the NSA team (HWM) headed by Scopey who managed to achieve all of their objectives including taking out both Dan and the Sherriff and the insertion of the Tactical device.

OUTSTANDING!

To Mike, Denise, Helen and Blobby, for believing in me and this event, for suffering my short temper, the highs and lows. For your support in everything and I mean everything from preparing the player packs, running admin, site setup and feeding me coffee a big hug and thanks.

To Pyromad for supplying the pyro for the event and to Martin, Chris and Phil in particular.

To BLUEPLEX and in particular to Dave and Tim for providing the website, content and design and for all the hard work on player packs maps, rules and general sanity checks. Thankyou.

So the big question your asking is how much did we raise?

Well I was so impressed with everyone’s fair game play  and the camaraderie that was shown at the event that,  I have personally covered all prop, player pack, radio hire, toilets  and other sundry costs which means out with the landmarc site fees we have managed to raise a staggering amount with every penny going to getting the Ambulances kitted and transported to Mail.
£4,800.00

We are still a long way off so I would like to encourage you to spread the word about the raffle tickets with the draw being made this 24th December. www.wearthefoxhat.org.uk
